Shrewsbury Town FC Park & Ride

PLEASE NOTE SOME MAJOR CHANGES FOR THE 2011/2012 SEASON - Updated 2nd August 2011

As of the new season (11/12) Shrewsbury Town Football Club have asked for changes on the following services provided by Tanat Valley:

S1 Shrewsbury Town Centre - The Greenhous Stadium (via Shirehall Park & Ride)

The weekday evening service will now be operating once again. On Saturdays there is an extra service operating so departures from Shrewsbury Bus Station will be as follows - 1300, 1345 & 1425. On weekday evening games the departures are as follows - 1815 & 1900. All S1 services will operate via Shirehall Park & Ride 

S3 Shirehall Park & Ride

Following a decision by Shrewsbury Town Football the S3 Shirehall P&R has been withdrawn. This service will no longer operate on any match day. However should STFC require the service it will run when needed. The alternative is to catch the S1 Town which will be operating via Shirehall on match days

S4 Harlescott Park & Ride

Following a decision by Shrewsbury Town Football the S4 Harlescott P&R has been withdrawn. This service will no longer operate on any match day. However should STFC require the service it will run when needed.

Service Summary below -

S1 Express Service from Shrewsbury Bus Station to The Greenhous Stadium via Shirehall Park & Ride

The service will start from the layby outside the 'island' bus shelters at Shrewsbury Bus Station. The route will be through the Town Centre, along Abbey Foregate then around the back of Shirehall onto the staff car park. It will then operate via Wenlock Road to The Greenhous Stadium

Buses depart:
1300, 1345 & 1425 for a 15:00 kick-off
Fares:
Adult: £3 return / £2 Single
Children 5-15: £1 return / £0.70 Single
Children under 5: Free
Shropshire Disrict/Borough and Telford & Wrekin
Concessionary Travel Passes are valid

After the Match: On the return journey it will fill with passengers for the Town Centre then take any passengers for Shirehall. If the bus is full for the Town Centre or all the passengers for Shirehall are cleared by the Shirehall Park & Ride buses then the S1 will operate via Meole Brace Island & Old Potts Way

Buses will depart approximately 10 minutes after the game finishes to the original pick-up point. There will be a second departure 30 minutes later only if there are any passengers who were unable to travel on the first bus due to it being full

S2 Oxon Park & Ride - The Greenhous Stadium

This service will no longer operate on any match day. However should STFC require the service it will run when needed.

S3 Shirehall Park & Ride

This service will no longer operate on any match day. However should STFC require the service it will run when needed. But when running will run to the below format:-

The service will pick up at the Park & Ride bus stop near the staff entrance to Shirehall. The route will be from Shirehall along Wenlock Road then to the The Greenhous Stadium.

Buses Depart:
approx 10-15 minutes intervals starting at 13:30 till the last one at 14:30 for 15:00 kick-off starting at 18:15 till the last one at 19:15 for 19:45 kick-off

Fares:
Adult: £2.50 return Children 5-15: £1.00 return Children under 5: Free

After the Match:
Buses will depart approximately 10 minutes after the game finishes to the original pick-up point. There will be a second departure 30 minutes later only if there are any passengers who were unable to travel on the first bus due to it being full

S4 Harlescott Park & Ride

This service will no longer operate on any match day. However should STFC require the service it will run when needed. But when running will run to the below format:-

The service will pick up at the Park & Ride bus shelter. The route will be from Harlescott Park & Ride site along A49 & A5 to Emstrey Island and then along old A5 to the The Prostar Stadium.

approx 10-15 minutes intervals starting at 13:30 till the last one at 14:30 for 15:00 kick-off starting at 18:15 till the last one at 19:15 for 19:45 kick-off

Lost property

Tanat Valley Coaches in co-operation with Boultons of Shropshire and Birch Travel operate the above services. Tanat Valley operate the S1 Express Service, Boultons of Shropshire & Tanat Valley operate the S3 Shirehall Park & Ride whilst Birch Travel & Tanat Valley operate the S4 Harlescott Park & Ride.
