Marathon Matt raising money for medical research, Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital
Matt Morris, retail workshop manager for Tanat Valley Coaches and Motors at Pentrefelin, is donning his trainers to run the London Marathon on 25th April. His chosen charity is Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital because he considers it to be “the jewel in our crown” for the area. Matt said “They have looked after various members of my family, so I would like to give something back by trying to raise money for medical research.” Matt has been in training since December, eating sensibly and has given up alcohol. When asked what he will do after the marathon, Matt replied “I’ll have a good pint.”
Up to date, Matt has raised just over £1,000 for medical research, Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital by fund raising outside Morrison's supermarket and performing with his group, Pepperpots, for a charitable gig.
