From the 10th September 2009
All truck (LGV) drivers will have to gain this qualification by completing 35 hours of training (5 Days) before September 2014

Whichever category you fall under either PCV or LGV you must complete the 35 hours periodic training in order to obtain your CPC. You can choose to either do all of your training in one block or spread out the 35 hours over a 5 years period. Each days training has to be a minimum of 7 hours within a 24 hour period, so you might choose to do 1 day per year or maybe 2 days one year and 3 days the next.
